xp速攻削除でTurbolinux入れて終了。
現時点での機種依存系の対応などは以下の通り。
オンボードEtherがいきなり使えない（笑）。2.6.13-5でe1000-7.0.33にアップデートているので、2.6.13-5以降に上げれば問題ない。てなわけでkernel-2.6.13-5.3に上げた。
チップセット内蔵グラフィックのドライバがTurbolinux 11 (FUJI)に含まれていないため、VESAで代用しなければならない。だが、近いうちTL11は945GMとICH8対応になるはずなので深刻な話ではない。
導入時にPCMCIAの認識を行おうとすると高確率でハングする。カーネルパラメタにnopcmcia設定すれば回避可能。現状でPCMCIAは使えない。
無線LANは ThinkWiki では「Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Mini-PCI Express Adapter」と書かれていて正直凹んだのだがlspciしてみたところ実際は「Atheros AR5212 802.11abg」なのでath_pciで認識してしまう。ipw3945だった場合はドライバモジュールがないので当然動かないのだがこれは嬉しい誤算。

というところで、Turbolinux11とThinkPad X60はそれなりに使えてます。
もちろんkernelは、デュアルコアプロセッサなので2.6.13-5.3smp。
なので。。。
